I wasn't aware of the issues with Tonja Walker, I thought her arc on GH was fun, the show has been pretty boring since it ended. |

Yeah, it was not a good look. And Tonja refused to own up and apologize for her racist rhetoric for too long, tokenizing her friend's black daughter as if it's an exemption to being racist, or using her charity work for similar purposes of exemption. All the while, she spoke over the black persons who were rightfully offended over what she said, rather than listening and learning from their experience, which is quite frankly exclusive to them. She only apologized days later, after threatening to leave social media, and after the situation blew up beyond soap Twitter. It honestly felt like she was only doing it as a necessary evil to make the incoming storm of tweets stop. I sincerely hope she really took something out of this though; it just seemed like she was more pre-occupied with her own victimhood than how her words contributed to an ongoing problematic culture. |

You have my sincere sympathy. Hideous diseases that both need a lot more publicity |
